  Originally composed for quadraphonic performance, Bamboo explores the spatialization and physicality of sound. Aspects of rhythmic and pitch density, dialogues among spatially positioned sound objects, and sudden blooms of textural forms comprise much of the material. the long waves was composed initially as a set of recycled material that dematerialized into several fluid waves of sound. The form is unbalanced as the final section is expanded through a deeper immersion and exploration of the material. The following three modular works represent recent interests into generative music. The resulting construct of these works is determined partly by a collaboration with probability, where fine control is surrendered in favor of an uncertainty that often leads to whimsical results. Star drops the listener into a realm where a gravitational force takes control of the trajectory and sense of velocity as one travels
  through space. The final work, riverride, was composed with tape splicing techniques and
  two reel-to-reel tape decks in The University of Georgia Electronic Music Studio.
  
  All works were composed, recorded, and mixed by Timothy Crist.
